Steven has been a Physio for over 20 years. After completing degrees at the University of Queensland in both Human Movements and Physiotherapy he worked at Gold Coast Hospital for a couple of years before travelling to Canada and working in a busy private practice in Vancouver for 5 years.
He purchased Southport Physiotherapy in 1999.
He has a strong interest in management of neck and back injuries as well as shoulder and knee conditions.
Steven feels that it is important that patients understand the bio-mechanics of their injuries so that they can develop strategies to self manage.
Steven was a physio at the British Columbia Summer and Winter Games for 5 years.
He also sat on the GPGC Aged Care Collaborative Expert Panel which investigated the provision of Allied Health services to Aged Care facilities.
Steven has taught students from The University of Queensland and Griffith University Physiotherapy Schools.

Liz started work in Bristol, England then came to Australia as a 10 pound Pom.
She worked at Royal Brisbane Hospital before moving on to a private practice in Cairns and Cairns Base Hospital. Liz then worked at Gold Coast Hospital, Melbourne Community Health, Ballina Hospital and then finally back to the Gold Coast Hospital where she was head of the Physio Department for 14 years.
Liz has been part of the Southport Physiotherapy team since 2009.
Liz's passion is travel. Over the years she has cycled in China, rafted and hiked in Nepal, been on safari in Africa, explored Italy & Turkey, hiked up Machu Pichu, kayaked in Antarctica and Alaska and recently walked over and snorkelled around the Galapagos Islands.
B Ex Sci and MPhty - Physiotherapist
Dennis holds a Masters of Physiotherapy from Griffith University and has also completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science giving him a great scope for exercise prescription and management.
Dennis believes in combining both hands-on treatment and exercise prescription for injury prevention and rehabilitation. He holds a particular interest in shoulder and lower limb injuries.
Dennis is originally from New Zealand but is now a Gold Coast local. Outside of work he enjoys spending time outdoors at the beach and skateboarding.
Charlee joined Southport Physiotherapy in 2017. She has an extensive background in customer service and telecommunications and is currently completing a Diploma of Practice Management. Charlee will be the first friendly face you see in Southport Physiotherapy and is more than happy to help with any questions you may have.
